Children's Ministry

We love children. We include them in the most important ministries of our church - worship, fellowship and service - and we align our best resources to be in ministry with them. We have great leaders who care about kids.

We offer Children's Church every Sunday during our 11:00 AM worship service. We invite all children three and older to come up front for the Children's Sermon, and then head downstairs with our trained Children's Ministry volunteers for the rest of the hour. Our nursery is also staffed with Safe Sanctuaries-approved workers to care for our little ones, ages 6-weeks to 3 years-old.

Our summer ministry with children is called Summer Kids in Play, or SKiP for short. It is for children ages 4-10. The daily schedule includes morning Chapel with the pastor, crafts, indoor games, movie time, walks to the Waverly Hall playground, snacks, visits from Policemen and Firemen, and lunch. This ministry, led by Wendy Steelmon, is served by a great group of teachers and volunteers. Check out the video of a typical day, here.

Our Vacation Bible School was a great week of fun and faith.

Our Summer Children's Choir was great. They practiced in May and June, and lead worship at the end of the month. Check out the video here.
