Open Door Community House

Our church renewed our support with Open Door Community House in 2009. Our partnership is coordinated by Jenifer Middleton, our church's Outreach Team leader.

In the spirit of Christian ministry, the mission of Open Door Community House, Inc. is to work in partnership with other area service providers to meet basic needs and to empower low income individuals to realize their full potential as children of God. The Open Door Community House, Inc., offers opportunities for spiritual growth, establishes relationships with individuals and families in need, and works cooperatively with other area service agencies to bring about reconciliation in the lives of people in the community. Open Door Community House, Inc. is a National Mission Institution of the General Board of Global Ministries and the South Georgia Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church.

We participate each year in the Open Door Walk Classic, held in March. In 2010 our 24 walkers collected over $1020 to go to support the great ministries of Open Door.
